In loving memory of Julie Spencer

Julie was a beautiful and caring person - she was always looking after others. She loved her family and was a wonderful wife, mother, nan, sister, daughter and aunt.

She spent most of her life in Bulkington and made a difference in the community through her many friendships and looking after the children in the village: first as a Midday Supervisor from the mid 1990s and later taking over as a School Crossing Officer for St James School (on Nuneaton Road). Last year, she received her 20-year service award.

Julie loved animals and being outside, and grew up riding horses. Even when she could no longer ride, she loved spending time with the family ponies. Her love of animals has passed down to her daughters and grandchildren and she enjoyed spending time watching her youngest granddaughter ride at the Nuneaton and North Warwickshire Equestrian Centre - a charity based riding facility for both abled and disabled riders (nnwec.org.uk). We have chosen the centre as the charity for donations, because we know she would want everyone to have the opportunity to ride and enjoy spending time with the horses as much as she did.

Thank you for everything you did for us, Julie and mum - we love you so much and you will be missed more than words can express.
